Mocci murder investigation underway. The woman who called for help: "I saw him die."

Investigations are underway into the murder of Leonardo Mocci, the 23-year-old bricklayer from Villacidro killed in Monserrato with a gunshot to the chest.

Carabinieri officers from the Quartu branch interviewed numerous people, focusing their attention on three young men. Investigators also searched an apartment and conducted surveys in Piazza Settimio Severo , where the young man was approached by the attacker, who fired shots and then fled. They also gathered accounts from possible witnesses. Among them was a woman , a resident of the square, who alerted emergency services, but their efforts were unsuccessful: "I saw him die before my eyes."
