This time the protest comes from the Palace. A strong and clear position, which gathers and makes its own the anger and frustration of a city that has been struggling for over three years with the construction sites of the light metro that paralyze traffic and drive the people of Cagliari crazy.
Stop delays with the subway works and immediately reopen the Gottardo-Repubblica section (up to San Saturnino) closed for over two and a half years for the works on the doubling of the tracks (completed at least a year ago): this in summary is the document illustrated by Pierluigi Mannino (group leader of FdI) and voted unanimously by the Council.
In the crosshairs of Palazzo Bacaredda ends up «the Arst that, first for one reason, then for another, without ever indicating one», sometimes bureaucracy, other times technical issues, «holds a city in check» , says Mannino. «The city has the right to know when the service stopped for over two and a half years will restart».
"I agree," Mayor Massimo Zedda began in his speech to the chamber. "For one reason or another, it seems that we cannot understand when the work will be finished. We are discussing with the company, but one thing is certain: no more delays, the service must resume before the start of the next school year," in September, therefore, adds the mayor.
