The search had been suspended due to bad weather , but in the meantime a new object has resurfaced from the sea: a shoe. It is believed to be the second shoe of Martina Lattuca , the 49-year-old woman from Cagliari who disappeared in Calamosca last Tuesday. The discovery was made today by a canoeist near the Grotta dei Colombi, who immediately alerted the Carabinieri. The Coast Guard then conducted further searches at sea for the body, but so far the results remain negative.
In recent days, the Coast Guard, firefighters, and Alpine Rescue—with the use of canine units and drones—investigations in the area where the woman's car was found and the area where her backpack containing her documents and a shoe were recovered had yielded no further useful information. Therefore, no new trace of the clerk who worked in a bookstore has been found.
It now remains to be ascertained whether the shoe found actually belongs to Martina Lattuca.
