New hearing in the courtroom of the Juvenile Court of Sassari on the murder of Mario Sedda , the 39-year-old from Porto Torres, killed on the night between 29 and 30 March 2021 .

At the heart of the trial are the wiretaps involving several people involved in the affair , including the key witness who had indicated Emanuele Sircana , the 21-year-old from Porto Torres, as the perpetrator of the crime, the only defendant accused of conspiracy to murder.

In the courtroom, the Carabinieri lieutenant in charge of the investigations explained the results of the wiretaps collected from the witness's family and his fears regarding the decision to report what he later said to the public prosecutor.

The wiretaps also involved Sircana's family. Defense attorney Alessandro Delrio requested a more thorough assessment of the witness's credibility, given the context in which some statements made to friends and family emerged.

The next hearing is scheduled for July 9th with the examination of Emanuele Sircana and six defense witnesses.
