Maracalagonis, head-on collision between two cars: transported in red code by helicopter

A road accident occurred this morning in the Maracalagonis area, on the Sp 16 at the crossroads for Corongiu. For circumstances that are yet to be clarified, two cars were involved in a violent head-on collision.

The worst off was a woman, who suffered a cranial-facial trauma following the collision . She had to be transported to the Brotzu hospital by helicopter, which arrived from Cagliari: she is in red code and in a reserved prognosis, but her life is not in danger.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital aboard a Sinnai Soccorso ambulance : the assigned code is yellow, he did not suffer any serious consequences.

An ambulance and firefighters were also present on site, and removed the two vehicles involved in the head-on collision, allowing traffic to reopen .
