The body of pensioner Nicolino Massaiu , 73 years old, who died yesterday on the old Orientale in the Maracalagonis area due to an illness that struck him while he was driving his Fiat Punto, has been returned to his family .
The man, from Cagliari, also known and respected for having run a Heliography in the city for a long time , pulled the car over to the guardrail as soon as he felt ill. The same car therefore remained on the road while the man died: the attempts to save his life by the medical unit who arrived on site were useless .
An acquaintance who remained unharmed was traveling with the pensioner.
The Carabinieri of the Quartu Radmobile Unit dealt with the matter and, coordinated by Captain Ignazio Cabras, carried out investigations with the magistrate who immediately closed the case with the return of the body to the family.
