Daniel Maldini, the Cagliari striker involved in a car accident that occurred Saturday night in Milan, following the Rossoblu's victory in Bergamo against Atalanta, has reportedly tested positive for drugs. The Corriere della Sera reported the news.
The player had already tested positive for a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level nearly double the legal limit: the local police test recorded values of 0.91 mg/l in the first test and 0.89 mg/l in the second. His license was revoked.
Now, according to the newspaper on Via Solferino, the results of the other test, the one for narcotics, are circulating and require confirmation: the answer is expected from further toxicology tests.
Maldini was driving his Porsche Carrera 4 late Saturday night when he allegedly failed to yield at the turn onto Via Caracciolo, crashing into a Golf , which then slammed into a parked vehicle. The player was in the car with three other people; a couple was in the other car. No one suffered serious injuries.
