Major anti-drug raid by police, eleven arrests in Cagliari and the surrounding province.
Over 11 kilos of narcotics seized, 85 thousand euros in cash, bullets and 10 kilos of fireworksEleven arrests, over 11 kilos of narcotics seized, 85 thousand euros in cash, bullets and 10 kilos of fireworks.
This is the result of the "High Impact" operation conducted by the Cagliari police, coordinated at the national level by the Central Operations Service (SCO), as part of the activity called "Cannabis Light".
The operation, conducted by the Flying Squad, hit several neighborhoods considered highly critical.
In particular, in Via Seruci, in the San Michele district , investigators have identified a real white heroin dealing center.
The raid led to the arrest of three people —two women and a man, all with criminal records—who were found in possession of large amounts of the substance. Some of the drugs, flushed down the drain in an attempt to dispose of them, were recovered from the sewer pipes. Packaging materials were also found inside the building.
Three more arrests were carried out between Selargius, San Michele and Stampace, in particular in Corso Vittorio Emanuele .
The dealers, all with criminal records, were caught in their homes with pre-packaged cocaine. The investigation was triggered in part by reports received via the YouPol app, which indicated a suspected coming and going of users.
In Mulinu Becciu, the officers arrested two men found in possession of hashish , heroin and cocaine ready for sale , following a careful monitoring of suspicious movements in the vicinity of the buildings.
The operation then expanded outside the city. In Pula, the Flying Squad arrested a 70-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, who was found in possession of 2.4 kilos of ultra-pure cocaine, some of it already packaged in doses.
The drugs were hidden inside a locked cabinet in a utility room owned by the man.
The operation, carried out with the support of the Abbasanta police canine unit, also led to the discovery of a bag buried in an adjacent lot containing numerous 9x21 caliber bullets, which are now undergoing ballistic tests. The cocaine, likely intended for sale during the Christmas and New Year's period, was worth approximately €150,000. The man was taken to Uta prison.
Finally, in Quartucciu, two young men in their twenties were arrested, found in possession of approximately one kilo of hashish and marijuana and almost 75 thousand euros in cash , divided into bundles and hidden in various places in the house, confirming a well-organized drug dealing operation.
In the same operational context, the police also conducted checks at several cannabis shops in the city center and the surrounding province. Upon completion of the checks, five people were charged with illegal possession of narcotics: the recreational sale of inflorescences, resins, and derivatives, even with THC levels below 0.5%, is not considered a legally marketable product.
