The mayor against Poste Italiane for serious disservices in the Macomer office. The Postamat ATM, in fact, is a highly requested service, but has been out of use for over five months. A situation that has become a source of great discomfort for numerous users, forced to go to neighboring countries in order to take advantage of the normal cash withdrawal activity.

So far, the repeated reports that the Municipality has raised to resolve a situation that is creating serious problems for numerous users have been of no avail. A serious situation, which takes on an even more serious character in light of the numerous discussions that the Municipality has had with Poste Italiane, to try to resolve the problem. Reports and protests from citizens are now daily. «We waited for Poste Italiane's time, thinking that the correct relationship between institutions would facilitate the interest in solving the problem - the mayor, Riccardo Uda, writes among other things in a document - in the face of the disinterest shown, it is right that citizens and Macomer users know who to blame."

The mayor recalls that last August 3, during a teleconference he had urged the urgency of restoring the functioning of the Postamat ATM. On that occasion, Poste Italiane announced a major restructuring and strengthening of the services of the Macomer post office. «Nothing has been done - writes the mayor - last December 15th we formally wrote to the management of Poste Italiane of Nuoro to remind us of the seriousness of the situation and request its resolution which we believed could no longer be postponed».

The serious inefficiencies are more than evident and so are the inconveniences. «What is the point of planning extraordinary upheavals of local offices, such as the Polis Project - writes Riccardo Uda - when it is not possible to guarantee the correct functioning of the most basic services. No technical motivation seems to justify, as in the case of the Postamat ATM, the behavior of Poste Italiane which has more the flavor of a serious offense towards the Municipality of Macomer and above all its citizens".
