"Knowing that my daughter's murderer is once again free to leave prison is disconcerting and shocking, it is yet another mockery."
Imma Rizzo, mother of Noemi Durini , cannot hold back her anger when she learns that her daughter's murderer is once again free to leave prison ( HERE IS THE NEWS ).
« The State does not do justice to innocent souls, like my daughter , killed by those who said they loved and protected them. And instead feminicides continue, because there is a lack of certain and severe penalties", underlines the woman.
His battle will continue, already a few months ago , thanks to one of his requests, Lucio Marzo was transferred from the Quartucciu IPM to the Bancali prison : «My lawyer and I – states the woman – will not stop in front of a State that protects assassins , to whom he grants every type of benefit and reward. I will fight so that Noemi gets true justice."
Valentina Presicce, the lawyer representing Noemi's mother , has already taken action, forwarding a request for clarification to the Dap, the Ministry of Justice and the Surveillance Court of Sassari: « How is it possible that he obtained a new bonus permit when a ministerial inspection is still underway to shed light on the first bonus permit? Lucio Marzo is still a dangerous person for society and cannot be reintegrated into civil society", he declared.
This decision, the lawyer underlined, is a shame: «For Noemi and for all the victims of femicide who still cry out for justice today, for the families of the victims because they live the real life sentence in life. It is not acceptable that a murderer should receive greater protection than families from whom their loved ones have been torn away forever . It is the victims and their families who should receive protection, dignity and justice."
Lucio Marzo, detained in the Bancali prison, self-confessed and sentenced to 18 years and 8 months for the murder of 16-year-old Noemi in 2017, has once again obtained semi-freedom to be able to go to work from the Surveillance Court of Cagliari .
A benefit that was revoked last August when, during one of the permits, he was stopped (after a long chase by car and on foot) in Cagliari drunk while driving , and in violation of the provisions of the supervisory magistrate who had prohibited him from driving any motor vehicle ( HERE IS THE NEWS ). The young man, 17 years old at the time of the murder, was detained in the Quartucciu IPM. Following this episode, his semi-liberty was revoked and shortly afterwards, at the request of the lawyer Presicce, he was transferred to the Bancali prison as it was highlighted that his conduct was incompatible with a juvenile penitentiary regime .
