Large fire in Sestu, nine parked cars and some shacks on fire

Terrible fire this afternoon in Sestu . The flames that developed in via Iglesias involved the vegetation, some shacks and several parked cars.

The reports arrived at the emergency number 115 shortly before 16.30, the operations room immediately sent the emergency response teams from the headquarters to the site.

The fire brigade intervened with a fire engine, seven operators, a tanker and an off-road vehicle with a forest fire module: they tamed the fire and cleared the area from the many small residual outbreaks, making it safe.

Then they started the investigations to establish the causes, also the local police of Sestu on the spot.

The budget of the vast fire , which involved over one hectare of brushwood, nine parked cars and some shacks, was heavy.
