State Road 389 closed due to a landslide near the Carmine di Elini park, at kilometer 179.

Anas blocked traffic in both directions "following the occurrence of instability phenomena on the mountain slope, which caused trees and soil to fall onto the road surface". The fall of a large tree revealed a dangerous friability of the ground.

Starting tomorrow morning, the road management company says, "the inspection of the slope will be carried out by the Municipality's technicians, to verify the actual stability conditions. Based on the outcome of the inspection, it will be possible to estimate the times for reopening the road."

Meanwhile, traffic is diverted onto State Road 198 and Provincial Road 23, along a route that passes through the town of Arzana: travel times increase by about ten minutes.

Anas staff "is engaged in managing and restoring traffic to ensure traffic on both lanes as soon as possible and in complete safety."
