Summit in the Region after the closure of the iron bridge for 540 days, to be subjected to safety works. Present with the Councilor for Public Works Pierluigi Saiu, as well as the mayor of Villaputzu and the mayors of the Union of Municipalities of Sarrabus, the Commissioner of the Province of Southern Sardinia, the Civil Engineers, Anas and Adis.

Mayor Sandro Porcu informed the citizens of the results of this meeting.

«The commitment of the councilor, whom we thank for his availability - he wrote - was that of all the participants: to provide solutions that allow us to quickly overcome the enormous problem that is causing very serious inconvenience to our entire territory . It was in fact decided to immediately create, with the funds that are already available, a temporary access that from the new 125 allows entry to Villaputzu from the Sant'Angelo locality and to finance the municipality of Villaputzu with funds that allow the arrangement of the road connection. The councilor also committed to delegating the creation of a definitive junction to Anas, with a future ad hoc loan ; this solution will allow our community to definitively resolve the serious problems of traffic and connection with the other communities of Sarrabus and with the main road artery which is the new eastern Sardinian state road 125. This time the release, long awaited and requested by our country, will be achieved."

Mayor Porcu also reassures the citizens, guaranteeing «that we will be vigilant and attentive, constantly verifying the creation of the temporary alternative road system quickly so that the serious difficulties we are experiencing today are alleviated as soon as possible. This is the commitment made during today's technical table held in the Region. I believe that the result achieved today was very positive. It will certainly have to be followed and monitored but I would like to sincerely thank all the citizens who have made their voices heard strongly in these difficult days. As I always say, only united and cohesive can we achieve our objectives with determination."

«It was a constructive meeting – confirmed Saiu – which made it possible to find a solution which will see the Municipality of Villaputzu and the Province of Southern Sardinia involved in the construction, immediately and for the duration of the works on the iron bridge, of a temporary access to state road 125 in Sant'Angelo and maintenance of the municipal road system leading to that access. Furthermore, we have been thinking about a new direct and definitive connection solution on the 125, once the work on the bridge has been completed, which will allow us to significantly improve traffic conditions for the citizens of Sarrabus".
