Threatening graffiti has appeared near the construction site that opened two months ago for the renovation of the bridge connecting the town of Muravera to the hamlet of Feraxi (over the Rio Corr'e Pruna). The graffiti targets the company carrying out the work (which, however, is significantly behind schedule). The act of intimidation was immediately condemned by Muravera's mayor, Salvatore Piu: "It's a disgrace," Piu said. "In a town like Muravera, we had forgotten about these things. I count on law enforcement to bring those responsible to justice." The residents of Feraxi themselves have also unanimously condemned the project, having called for months for the work to be expedited to avoid a flop season. The bridge is, in fact, the only easy access road to the hamlet, which boasts a wealth of activities (in addition to a wild and enchanting sea).
The work was supposed to be completed by May at the latest . During a meeting with residents, Muravera City Councilor for Public Works Federico Lai explained that "unfortunately, there were some unforeseen events, namely the company had difficulty cutting the bridge. However, new machinery arrived recently and is now working. We are awaiting an official timetable." The company, unofficially, stated that the project would take about a month to complete.
