The 42-year-old Quartese worker who ended up in prison last Saturday on charges of attempted sexual assault on a twelve-year-old lured on social media has made use of the right not to answer. This morning, defended by the lawyer Donata Concas, the man appeared tried: the lawyer asked for house arrest with the prohibition to communicate outside, a request rejected by the investigating judge Lucia Perra.

The man therefore remains in prison, he repeated several times to his lawyer: " I'm not a monster ."

The terrible story was reconstructed by the investigators of the Cagliari Flying Squad as soon as the complaint presented by the girl's father was received. Precisely the readiness of the victim, who after receiving indecent proposals via chat on Instagram from a man confided in his parents, allowed the police to carry out the investigation. An agent took the place of the 12-year-old, continuing the conversation with the worker. Explicit phrases aimed at having a paid sexual encounter: 50 euros in exchange for a service. For nine days the policewoman from Mobile continued in dialogue with the man without ever provoking him or encouraging him in his purpose.

Yet, according to the allegations, he continued by making two appointments that he did not show up for due to the unexpected. On Saturday, however , he reached the park of Monte Urpinu to meet his victim. He had a puppet in his hand. He approached the bench. After a " hello " he immediately hugged what he thought was the little girl who had fallen into the trap.

He could not imagine that behind that fuchsia dress and that adolescent look there was a young policewoman: immediately two colleagues of the Cagliari Flying Squad, hidden behind a bush, blocked the man and the official Michele Mecca handcuffed him . " I didn't do anything ," he said right away. But the investigators already had in hand the conversation that the worker had started for ten days with the child and, immediately after the complaint presented by the twelve-year-old's family, with a policewoman who took the place of the very young girl. The 42-year-old ended up in prison in Uta.

The man's cell phone and his PC have been seized and will now be analyzed by the experts of the forensics. There seem to be several chats and conversations with other young girls . «Social networks», explains the manager of Mobile, Fabrizio Mustaro, «are a resource but they can hide dangers. For this you have to be very careful. Parents must dialogue with their children, especially when they are very young, to make them aware of the possible risks ». Finally an appeal: "If there are obvious approaches on social networks by strangers, do not be afraid to confide in your parents and then file a complaint in order to be able to trace who is hiding behind often false profiles".
