Fatal accident this morning on State Road 126, at kilometer marker 34.800, in the Iglesias area.
Giorgio Sanna , a seventy-seven-year-old retiree living in the city, was driving a Fiat Fiorino when, near the "red mud" (mud) area, he suddenly became ill. He lost control of the vehicle, which ended up crashing violently into a wall on the roadway. The impact, unfortunately, proved fatal for the driver. He was already dead by the time emergency services arrived.
Anas reports that traffic on the South Western Sardinian highway is experiencing slowdowns and on-site personnel are managing traffic alongside the Carabinieri from the Gonnesa station, who carried out the surveys.
