The 50-year-old man who was hit by a rifle shot during a hunting trip in the Sedilo area did not make it: he died despite rescue attempts.

This is Filippo Vidili, originally from Bosa, but resident in Oristano . For years he was president of the Association of the Knights of Sartiglia . A very well-known figure in the city and in the environment.

After the alarm, the 118 staff, who also intervened with the helicopter, tried to revive the 58-year-old - hit in the abdomen - but the lifesaving procedures were unfortunately in vain and the doctor had to declare him dead.

The Carabinieri also arrived on site and began investigations and checks to clarify the dynamics of the incident.

The accident occurred on the first day of wild boar hunting allowed in Sardinia. Vidili was apparently hit by a ricochet shot, perhaps fired by one of his hunting companions .
