A huge crowd for the last farewell to Filippo Vidili, the 50-year-old from Oristano who lived in Bosa and died on All Saints' Day during a hunting accident. Many friends and especially the knights of the Sartiglia accompanied the former president of the Cavalieri association in his last "descent".
The bishop of the Diocese of Alghero-Bosa Mauro Maria Morfino expressed words of comfort from the altar of the Church of Carmelo for his wife Cristina, his little daughter, his father, his brothers and all the family members.
"An immeasurable pain, nothing will be the same again, but we must think that life goes on just as Philip taught us in the versatility of his passions". The bishop urged respect for life, to take nothing for granted: "The times of the clock of life are not eternal and perhaps we should also rethink the ways of entertaining our existence that, at times, can jeopardize such a precious gift as human life".
Emotion in the words of the bishop: «I believe that Philip's joyful cry is this: continue to live, take each other seriously, love each other».
In the church there is a surreal silence, on the coffin stands out the smile of Filippo Vidili, in an image that portrays him with the Sardinian costume perhaps in a moment of one of his many Sartiglie. The mayors of Bosa, Oristano, Sedilo and many administrators were present at the ceremony.
