Seui will also have a landing area for air rescue, which will allow urgent medical transport even at night. The announcement, not without a touch of controversy, comes from the mayor of the town in Barbagia, Marcello Cannas.

The Areus aircraft will be able to activate the lights and an acoustic signal via radio to warn people who may be present on the surface. "Air assistance for the citizens of Seui but also of Ussassai will no longer be limited to daytime hours," explains the mayor.

The intervention was carried out thanks to the funds of the Mountain, underlines Cannas, "we must thank, and very much, all the mayors of the mountain community who have given their consent for the allocation".

In the meantime, Enel is eliminating the two power lines that posed a danger to the landing. "The heliport has already received the green light from the Areus pilots and the project is almost finished," announces the mayor. Who adds: "And to think that whoever had the duty to give us the funding requested several times, given the catastrophic health situation in Seui, the worst in Sardinia, gave us nothing, as always".
