He had sown panic in the streets of Sassari by fleeing by car after escaping the halt imposed by the traffic police in via Asproni.

The events on the evening of 28 May last, with the protagonist of the mad gesture who, in order to escape control , had not hesitated to walk some streets in the wrong direction as well as to cross the center of Piazza d'Italia, where some passers-by had been forced to move to avoid being hit by the car .

The chase lasted for several minutes until the driver managed to lose track of himself after taking an alley in the historic center.

The investigations today made it possible to identify the fugitive , who was found not to have a driving license .

The man was reported for resisting a public official and administratively sanctioned for the infractions committed during the escape.
