The silence that, at times, kills more than those who strike and hide their hand, the silence that hurts and distances the truth. There is still no culprit for the murder of Marco Mameli, the 22-year-old worker from Ilbono (Nuoro), stabbed to death during the Carnival celebrations of Bari Sardo, in Ogliastra, on March 1st.

The artist from Nuoro Nicola Urru dedicated a sand work to him, created on the beach of Platamona. Faces with their hands over their mouths, because speaking is not convenient for many, silence covers everything and even a murder.

"Those who see, hear, know and do nothing. One, a hundred, a thousand devotees, bound by the sacred vow of silence."

There is still a parent who cries for the death of her son, a mother who asks for truth and justice, a community struck by a tragedy that is still unclear. "Perhaps, if we committed ourselves to cultivating honesty, the real one," is Nicola Urru's message, "not only that of "one's duty" but that which responds to an ethic made of responsibility, we will have a better future."
