The eighth hearing of the closed-door trial for group sexual violence in which Ciro Grillo, son of Beppe, and three of his Genoese friends, Edoardo Capitta, Francesco Corsiglia and Vittorio Lauria, is underway in the court of Tempio Pausania .

The four are absent in the courtroom today.

At the witness stand is Alex Cerato, a childhood friend of the Italian-Norwegian student who accuses the defendants of having abused her on the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 in the villa owned by the Grillo family in Porto Cervo.

Cerato, who was in Costa Smeralda in those days and who had spent the first part of the evening with the young woman, would have gathered her confidences a few hours after the alleged violence .

He should have testified in the last hearing , together with another friend of the victim, Adelaide Malinverno, but on that occasion he had presented a request for legitimate impediment for some university commitments which had not allowed him to leave Milan and reach Sardinia .

Malinverno meanwhile said that the student had called her the same night of the alleged violence saying that she had suffered them while she was in a state of total incapacity, clouded by alcohol.
