The postal police of Sassari have reported 26 people on charges of aggravated defamation because they were committed on the internet against the lawyer Antonella Cuccureddu , who defends Francesco Corsiglia, accused in Tempio in the trial for gang sexual violence which also involves Ciro Grillo, son of Beppe, Vittorio Lauria and Edoardo Capitta.

Last March the agents received the complaint from Cuccureddu, represented by the lawyer Nino Cuccureddu, and started investigations, coordinated by the commander of the Sassari Postal Police Michele Delogu. Once the suspects had been identified and the facts verified, they filed the crime report with the Sassari Prosecutor's Office.

Defamatory and aggressive posts against the lawyer appeared on social media commenting on the articles of various newspapers which reported the questions asked in the courtroom by the lawyer to the alleged rape victim . Questions, Cuccureddu stated publicly several times, were the same ones already asked by the police and prosecutors to the girl in the early stages of the investigation and which had been asked again in the courtroom to ascertain the facts and highlight any contradictions. Questions, the lawyer specified, were examined and admitted by the Court.

A clarification that evidently didn't help, because avalanches of insults rained down on Cuccureddu . All documented and now in the hands of the Prosecutor's Office, which must decide whether to proceed against the 26 reported.
