«The image of a woman, equated to a crockery or a succulent dish, in a completely passive and object pose, is so shameful that it deserves no comment. A medieval gimmick, a real scandal that rightly now falls on whoever conceived such a 'show'».

This is how Codacons intervenes in the case of the girl covered in chocolate in the dessert buffet in a hotel in Golfo Aranci , in Gallura. "There is a lot of talk about women's rights and then in an instant certain images seem to take one hundred years back in time - they underline - thwarting the efforts of those who work every day to raise awareness on this issue".

According to Codacons, "the usual apologies the next day cannot be enough - they point out - especially if, as in this case, the hotel chain involved does not seem to have grasped that the very serious episode does not concern the individual sensitivity of those who reported the happened but it has to do with a question of dignity and respect for women that concerns our entire society". The association therefore invites consumers to denounce «such scenes wherever they occur, boycotting the structures that become the protagonists of similar obscene representations».
