Gairo Vecchio, still drawings and writings on the walls of some houses in the village

Once again drawings and writings have appeared in the charming village of Gairo Vecchio . The walls of some of the ancient houses, abandoned in the years following the flood of 1951, were targeted by one or more people.

It is not the first time this has happened but the disappointment of the municipal administration and citizens remains the same. A historical and cultural heritage is enclosed in the houses and in the streets , in those walls that preserve the memory and the roots of the Gairesi wounded by the marks of colored sprays.

"Soon I will present, as happened last year, a complaint against unknown persons and with the rest of the team we will discuss the actions to be taken to stem this phenomenon - commented the mayor Sergio Lorrai -. I do not exclude the possibility of forbidding entry to the old village to all non-residents until we are equipped with an organization and systems that guarantee the protection of our historical and cultural heritage present in Gairo Vecchio ”.
