Tense moments this morning in Gairo . At 8:10 a.m., the post office on Via della Libertà was attacked by an armed and masked bandit. According to initial reports, the robbery occurred shortly after it opened to the public: the robber forced the clerk to open the door and demanded the money , then fled on foot just as he had arrived.
The Carabinieri of the Jerzu company intervened immediately on the scene.
The military are acquiring images from video cameras connected to the surveillance system and collecting various testimonies to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the events and quantify the loot , which is believed to amount to approximately 36 thousand euros .
