Vivian Spohr, involved in the tragic death of the very young Gaia Costa, expresses her dismay and deep sorrow for this terrible accident that has devastated a family, the town of Tempio, and the entire Gallura community.

This is the message of condolence spread by the lawyer Angelo Merlini , who together with his colleague Alessandro Vitale , is assisting the German manager - wife of Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr - who was driving the SUV that hit and killed the 24-year-old woman from Tempio Pausania in Porto Cervo on Tuesday.

"The lady," the lawyers' statement continues, "has placed herself at the complete disposal of the judicial authorities for the necessary investigations and, although aware that such a great personal loss cannot be remedied, will take steps to mitigate the consequences."

Spohr, 51, returned to Germany after the accident. Her breathalyzer test was negative. The prosecutor's office has opened a case of vehicular homicide .
