The fisherman who died in Torregrande, Oristano, was called Antonio Meloni and was 84 years old while he was preparing or had already dived for a fishing trip.

The body was found this morning: the man was wearing a wetsuit.

According to initial reconstructions, the pensioner had left his home in Cabras last night to dedicate himself to his passion, fishing.

He would have had an illness, perhaps linked to the low temperature of the water, which would have surprised him while he was at sea. The body was then dragged near the beach.

It was then recovered and placed on the shoreline. The Carabinieri and the Port Authority are on site to support the military operations with a patrol boat and a team on land.
