Fear in Siniscola, where this morning - in La Caletta - the house of an 84-year-old pensioner, Luigi Bomboi, caught fire.

The alarm went off in via Trapani, on the upper floor of a two-storey building.

The flames completely destroyed the house, but the pensioner managed to escape to safety.

The origin of the fire is uncertain.

The Siniscola firefighters, 118 and the carabinieri intervened on site.
