A fire broke out shortly after 11am along state road 131 DCN , at kilometre 43, near the junction for Macomer and the junction with state road 129.

According to initial information, the fire may have been caused by a spark generated during weed control work underway on the roadside.

The flames quickly spread to the vegetation along the roadside, requiring the intervention of firefighting teams. The fire caused traffic disruption: in the direction of Abbasanta, the road remained open to only one lane , with traffic slowing down along the affected stretch.

Forestas operators, the Forestry Corps, and firefighting teams intervened on site, engaged in extinguishing operations and securing the area.
