Few flights, fares for tourists now out of control : anyone planning a trip in recent weeks has seen first-hand the defects of the current territorial continuity. Finding a ticket on the Ita Airways, AeroItalia and Volotea websites is a challenge. The connections with Milan have been full for days, and now the difficulties have extended to the Rome route .
The Region will start from these critical points to define the model of the future. The first stage towards the tender which will take shape in 2024 is set for Thursday: the councilor for Transport Antonio Moro will meet the deputy ministers Edoardo Rixi and Galeazzo Bignami in Rome, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure. A meeting that will serve to prepare the negotiations with the European Commission.
«On the table there will be the defects of the system now in force: the undersizing of the flight plan, especially in the Cagliari airport. And the question of prices. This is the only way to build a better continuity », explains Moro.
