The reopening of Fenosu airport is now closer.
Enac and Aeronike, majority shareholder of Sogeaor (management company of the Oristano salo) signed the agreement in Rome for the restart of the infrastructure.
"It is the preliminary act - says Riccardo Faticoni, director of the Cagliari company - now we have to fulfill some prescriptions that will be completed in the shortest possible time".
The next step will be the signing of the concession, the last step before reopening the runway to general aviation flight traffic: air taxis and private planes. «It is unlikely that we will be able to complete the process during the summer - Faticoni points out - the most cumbersome part concerns the updating of the AIP, by ENAV (Flight Assistance Body). This is essential aeronautical information for air navigation in a state."
From a logistical point of view, the airport is ready, "minimal arrangements are needed which will not imply any delay", concludes Faticoni who has an ambitious goal for the future of the Oristano infrastructure: to make it an international center for pilot training.
