« A very good person with great strength of mind , tireless at work , despite the difficulty in moving due to his disability which has never made anyone feel uncomfortable. A great disappointment for us." This is the comment of Franco Peana, regional secretary of Ugl Chemicals-Energy , on the tragic death of Stefano Antonio Sanna, 60 years old from Sorso , an Enel employee who lost his life yesterday, Monday 5 February, on provincial road 128 , along the road to Siligo, in the stretch that runs along state road 131.
The man in his Cupra lost control of the car which went off the road and overturned, hitting a tree. The car was completely destroyed. The 60-year-old died instantly. The firefighters extracted him from the cockpit.
As a young man he was the victim of a bad accident which forced him to remain in a wheelchair. So for a few years he had been carrying out his work from home with the teleworking system. A solution obtained following the intervention of Ugl Chimici-Energia which had fought to allow him to carry out his work in his own home without going to the company.
