After much suffering, Franco Locci, former entrepreneur, owner of the historic Sardinian car trading company, Franco Locci Srl, a leading company in the Sardinian economy, died this afternoon. He lived in the center of Macomer with his wife Paola and for some time his condition had worsened. Today his death, which put an end to his suffering.

Franco Locci, 87 years old, was one of the few big entrepreneurs from Macomere who did not move his business during the hottest period of kidnappings . It was precisely because of the kidnappings that his family was marked in the summer of 1978, when his son Luca, just seven years old, was kidnapped . It was June 26 of that terrible summer. From then on, for the family, but also for Franco Locci, the Calvary began. His son Luca remained in the hands of bandits for about three and a half months . In that circumstance , the father did everything he could to free his little boy, facing difficult situations, until the car accident, in which he was involved, which forced him to live in a wheelchair .
