It is the Rwm reconversion committee and seven other environmental, trade union, non-violent and peace associations that have been admitted as civil parties to the trial in Cagliari which sees nine people accused of false ideology - even in competition with each other - in the context of some building procedures for the expansion of Rwm Italia, in the Municipalities of Domusnovas and Iglesias.
The defendants are the managing director of the company that produces war weapons, Fabio Sgarzi, Leonardo Demarchi (technical officer of Rwm), Palmiro Palmas, Ignazio Pibia and Mauro Pompei (professionals appointed by Rwm), Anna Rita Perseu and Lamberto Tomasi (officials of Municipality of Iglesias), Elsa Ersilia Ghiani and Giuseppe Matzei (officials of the Municipality of Domusnovas).
Their false declarations, both administrative and technical - the indictment claims - would have allowed the company to build, among other things, the new production departments, called R200 and R210 and the R140 Test Field (an open-air area open for testing explosive materials).
The start of the hearing was set by the monocratic judge Gianluigi Dettori for 14 March. On April 21, however, the hearing for the examination of the four texts of the prosecutor is scheduled.
