NAS intervention in Predda Niedda, in the industrial area of Sassari.

The inspectors of the anti-adulteration and health unit of the Carabinieri carried out an intervention in the factory of a well-known leading brand in the pastry sector.

The military personnel found numerous deficiencies in the sanitary requirements of the structure due to the absence of cleaning and maintenance operations.

In particular, the Nas came across multiple excrements and the carcass of a mouse in the area used for storing food.

Then inspecting the products and their authenticity, they seized over 600 kg of raw materials that had expired or had exceeded the minimum shelf life, also discovering ingredients without traceability.

After informing the ASL, the military then proceeded to close the business until hygiene conditions were restored.

A fine of 5,000 euros was imposed on the company's legal representative.
