The energy decree has also passed the hurdle of the Chamber of Deputies. It can now be considered fully law, pending publication in the Official Journal: 156 votes in favor, 115 against, is the result of the final vote. The committees made no secret of it: "The Sardinian parliamentarians who approved the decree," they reiterated yesterday after the vote, "have betrayed the island."

The day

Activists went even harder, so much so that some in Montecitorio (the Italian Parliament) warned of imminent legal action. It must be said: the center-right majority, along with FdI, Lega, and Forza Italia, voted for the measure. Among the Sardinian parliamentarians, the approval came from the entire Fratelli d'Italia delegation (i.e., Francesco Mura and Gianni Lampis, while Salvatore Deidda was absent due to attending a conference in Cagliari on naval transport), from Forza Italia deputies Ugo Cappellacci and Pietro Pittalis, while Dario Giagoni of the Lega had already scheduled a medical check-up.

Regional secretary of the Democratic Party, Silvio Lai, and Progressive MP Francesca Ghirra, voted no. But it seems everyone was present for the confidence vote on Wednesday afternoon. Indeed, the government had put itself on the line regarding decree 175 , partly to dispel rumors leaked by the Transatlantico newspaper about some differences of opinion between Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, especially regarding measures to control utility bills.
