«The 10 million euros foreseen by the budget change and allocated to SOS Enattos in view of the Einstein Telescope are a symbolic measure. Only announcements from the regional council, more resources are needed to finance this unique project for the future of Sardinia."

Thus Roberto Deriu, regional councilor of the Democratic Party, regarding the almost one billion budget change approved by the executive and landed in the Budget commission of the Regional Council, now being examined by the other commissions for the analysis and opinions of their competence.
A variation which, according to the opposition, would involve too little funding for the prestigious scientific research project that Sardinia hopes to host.
«I reiterate my proposal – continues Deriu – announced in recent days and addressed to the center-left regional program table: the Region commits itself by allocating 100 million euros per year to be allocated to Nuoro and its province to accompany the ET project step by step. We don't need commercials, but a great plan that reconfigures the territory accompanying what must be the third industrialization of the province of Nuoro, not just a symbolic participation of the Region which makes great proclamations but then allocates just 10 million for the most important strategic project of the island".

«First the Draghi government and then the Meloni government believed in this project, the Region must play its part by contributing decisively to this new phase which represents a unique opportunity for Nuoro and Sardinia», concludes Deriu.
