The Sassari Financial Police concluded two days of checks at the 2025 edition of the "Alguer Summer Festival" by reporting to the relevant prefectures approximately 70 young people and very young people found in possession of narcotics.

The operation, coordinated by the Sassari Provincial Command, involved the use of canine units from departments in northern Sardinia and took place during performances by Fabri Fibra and Manu Chao at the “Ivan Graziani” amphitheater, which attracted over 10,000 spectators from all over Italy.

In addition to Indian hemp derivatives, hard and synthetic drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamines were also seized .

Also present were the "Green Berets," military personnel specialized in maintaining public order and safety, who ensured the smooth running of the event and provided a secure environment during checks.

The operation is part of a broader plan to combat drug dealing and petty crime, active not only during major events but also daily in the province's urban centers, ports, and airports, especially during the summer.

The Guardia di Finanza emphasizes that the inspections were conducted in a calm atmosphere, consistent with the nature of the event, confirming the Corps' constant commitment to protecting safety, public health, and the legal economy.
