Even in Sardinia , doctors and nurses suspended in recent months for not having carried out the anti-Covid vaccination are ready to return to service .
One of the first decisions adopted by the new Meloni government, which intends to manage the pandemic in contrast to the policy pursued by the previous executives.
As for doctors, 174 professionals - including retirees and doctors who work privately - will be able to start operating again.
In detail: 97 in the Cagliari area, 70 in the Sassarese area, 7 in the province of Oristano and 5 in the Nuorese area. Data to which, however, must be added those relating to doctors employed in public hospitals.
As for the nursing staff , on the other hand, according to the numbers of the National Federation of Nursing Professions, the professionals who will be able to return to service are 55 (out of a total of over 12,400 registered nurses on the island).
The Federation itself, however, specifies that it is not a question of "no vax" tout court, that is only of people who have refused to be vaccinated.
"This is because - explain by Fnopi - nurses being the category of health workers with the highest number of infections (since the beginning of the pandemic between infections and reinfections, about 350 thousand infected in Italy, 82% of all health personnel according to the Inail), many had to wait for the physiological times of post-Covid for vaccinations, but then they got vaccinated because they are not 'no vax' (nurses are very, very little), but simply because this is what practice wanted ".
