Accused of stealing diesel from a truck parked in the Sa Magangiosa area , a 33-year-old man from Cagliari appeared this morning before the sole judge of the Cagliari Tribunal .

The magistrate validated the arrest but granted the suspect time to present his defense, ordering his release pending the new hearing .

The trial will continue on February 19, when sentencing is expected.
