Diesel and gasoline prices in Sardinia still hover above €2 per liter.

In Sardinia, average fuel prices remain above 2 euros per litre.

According to the latest update released by the Ministry of Transport on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, on the island, the average price for a liter of diesel fuel in self-service mode is €2.102 and for a liter of gasoline €2.005 . For LPG, the average price is €0.857.

To contain diesel prices , the Council of Ministers approved yesterday the extension of the current excise duty cut of 17 cents per liter, including VAT, until August 25th.
