The relationship between Speranza Ponti and Massimiliano Farci was now over.

A friend of the 50-year-old originally from Uri who was killed in Alghero on 5 December 2019 and of Massimiliano Farci, Assemini's 54-year-old boyfriend, accused of killing her to take possession of her savings, tells it.

Before the Assize Court of Sassari, chaired by Judge Massimo Zaniboni, alongside Valentina Nuvoli, the witness spoke for over two hours, answering the questions of the prosecutor Angelo Beccu and the lawyer Daniele Solinas, who defends Farci, while the civil parties they are assisted by lawyers Stefano Carboni and Edoardo Morette.

Ponti and Farci, explained the woman, often quarreled so much that the victim - who had lost a lot of weight in that period - had confided to her that he wanted to go back to life as before. Both - said the witness - accused each other of having become aggressive, he was afraid of being alone with her and she reported unrepeatable verbal violence.

Speranza Ponti, however, still made many plans, and had proposed to her friend the possibility of opening a business together with the money of an insurance and the house sold in Genoa. Version also confirmed by two friends, two hairdressers, according to which the woman was deciding what to do with her life and her money and irritated her that her partner did not honor the debt accrued with her to remake the "Sergio's" pizzeria in via XX Settembre.

The man who helped them in the work also testified: for him Massimiliano Farci was a brother, even if after the disappearance of Speranza he no longer trusted him. The hearing of witnesses will continue on November 16.
