Fights, bivouacs, drug dealing, empty bottles and rubbish abandoned in the square .

The measure is full for Marco Pistone and Monica Casucci , owners of two premises in the historic center of Olbia , which overlook Piazza Regina Margherita.

In protest they decided to close one of the two businesses: the Beer Julep pulled down the shutters , a pub which livens up Olbia's evenings and employs around ten people in the summer. «Our choice is symbolic and we will continue it until we see a strong signal from the municipal administration», explains Pistone, who today also presented a complaint for degradation and drug dealing to the Guardia di Finanza .

«When my partner and I decided to open our second brewery five years after the first – he continues -, we wanted to bet on the historic center of Olbia, but in the last year we have been left alone, at the mercy of this degradation, surrounded by shops that sell alcohol even to minors until 4 in the morning ."

Despite several reports to the police "nothing has changed", the hope now is that "other business owners will follow us and join in the protest".

The decision was also shared on the restaurant's social pages: dozens of shares and a lot of solidarity for the owners.
