Pain and grief in two municipalities of Oristano for Daniela Cadeddu, the 51-year-old killed in her sleep by her husband with hammer blows in Zeddiani.
In addition to Zeddiani, where the tragedy took place, city mourning was also proclaimed in Cabras, the woman's country of origin, where the funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, at 11, in the church of Santa Maria Assunta.
"I will also ask for a minute of silence and reflection. It is a terrible fact - says the mayor of Cabras Andrea Abis - and I would like this minute of silence to be observed also in schools, we need to raise awareness and talk about femicides".
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old's husband, Giorgio Meneghel, a 53-year-old farmer, remains detained in the Massama prison on charges of voluntary murder.
Yesterday in front of the investigating judge the man confessed his responsibilities, without however indicating a precise motive, but speaking of generic "economic and health problems", his and his wife's.
