Accused for the murder of his partner Speranza Ponti , originally from Uri, which took place in Alghero in December 2019 , the 55-year-old from Assemini today in the Court of Assizes of the Court of Sassari reiterated what he had already said on 10 May before the questions of the deputy prosecutors Angelo Beccu and Beatrice Giovannetti.

Farci and Ponti had met on social media, she continued, when she lived in Liguria. "I always told Speranza the whole truth, she knew I was sentenced to life in prison for murder," he added. He then confirmed that he had decided to bury her on the hill on the outskirts of Alghero because that was a place she loved , and that he had decided to hide her death from everyone, telling friends and relatives that Ponti had left. The trial - Farci is accused of killing her to take possession of her savings - will continue on June 21 with the depositions of the defense witnesses .
