The percentage of intensive care places occupied by Covid patients is still growing in Sardinia.

And the figure, according to the latest Agenas survey, is equal to 13%, up by a further percentage point. On the other hand, the situation in the ordinary departments remains stable, with an employment rate of 12%.

On the island, as confirmed yesterday by the data processed by the analysis laboratory of the Duilio Casula and San Giovanni di Dio Polyclinic, the dreaded Omicron variant, now present in over 70 percent of positive patients, is rampant. Undoubtedly, the New Year celebrations act as a "driving force": in the previous survey, that of December 29, patients affected by Omicron were just 25 percent.

IN THE COUNTRY - In Italy, on the other hand, the percentage of intensive care places occupied by Covid patients remains stable at 17% (it was 11% on 24 December), although on a daily basis it is growing in 6 regions: Friuli Venezia Giulia (23%), Marche (22%), PA Trento (30%), Puglia (9%), Sardinia (13%), Sicily (17%). The rate is decreasing in Abruzzo (14%), Liguria (20%), PA Bolzano (18%), Piedmont (22%), Umbria (13%), Veneto (20%). Stable in Calabria (18%) Campania (11%), Emilia Romagna (17%), Lazio (21%), Lombardy (16%), Tuscany (20%), Val d'Aosta (18%) and, below 10%, also in Basilicata (3%) and Molise (5%).

On the national level, the occupancy rate of beds occupied by Covid patients in the wards rises by a further two points, reaching 26%. Among the most critical situations is that of Valle d'Aosta, where the figure reaches 46%, and Liguria, which reaches 39% with + 3%.
