They are never enough. On Saturday afternoon, the Region announced the "structural" addition of new frequencies on the connections between the Island and the Fiumicino and Linate airports , and Aeroitalia immediately updated its sales channels with the additional flights . But within a few hours the tickets were gobbled up by those planning their travels - returning emigrants, commuters, students - in view of the end-of-year holidays. And in fact on the Milan-Cagliari route , the busiest of the routes under territorial continuity, the website of the tricolor airline always reports "sold out" for Saturday 21 December , the day of the start of the long Christmas weekend.

The extra plane was filled in the blink of an eye and now Aeroitalia, to keep its recent promise to "facilitate connections between Sardinia and the rest of Italy during Christmas and New Year", will have to add another Boeing to avoid "holes" in the schedule.

And while yesterday the company's web portal stopped for about an hour in the afternoon , creating quite a bit of discontent, the signing of the agreement between Aeroitalia and Fasi is expected in the next few hours , a revision of the agreements that previously extended to natives and their families the same fare conditions dedicated to residents of the Island and which now instead provide for a surcharge of 15 euros on the discounted fare on each route, and without the possibility of extending the discount to family members.
