Cagliari hasn't forgotten. And now that Pierluigi Colabianchi's name is circulating again in the opera world, along with renewed tensions at Venice's Teatro La Fenice, the Sardinian capital's unions aren't staying silent.

The Fistel Cisl of the Teatro Lirico, which had years of bitter clashes and a relationship marked by conflict with the former superintendent, has chosen to openly side with its Venetian colleagues .

In a statement, the regional secretariat, the RSU (union unions), and members emphasize how the leadership of a superintendent can determine the success or decline of a theater: "No one can testify more than we do how dangerous inadequate leadership is for a theater, a harbinger of hostility among workers, unions, and even the public."

Solidarity with the Fenice workers thus also becomes a warning, a reminder of the difficulties experienced in Sardinia .

"Your fight was our fight," writes Fistel Cisl, urging its Venetian colleagues to resist "to ensure transparency, participation, and the centrality of art against party logic and personalism."
