New hearing in the trial in Tempio Pausania in which Ciro Grillo is accused together with three of his friends – Edoardo Capitta, Vittorio Lauria and Francesco Corsiglia – on charges of sexual violence against an Italian-Norwegian student , after an evening spent at the Billionaire in the summer of 2019.

Today the program included the hearing of two witnesses considered key by the defense and therefore summoned by the lawyers of the four young men.

The first is Matteo Scarnecchia, Ciro Grillo's stepbrother . He said that he was the one who booked the place and that there were 12 people at their table . He also explained that during the evening the group ordered two bottles of alcohol, one of which was champagne.

Scarnecchia also stated that he himself shot a video, where the alleged victim can be seen "leaning towards Ciro Grillo to kiss him". A testimony that according to the defense would be fundamental to evaluate the reliability of the girl's story.

The second witness summoned by the lawyers of the four defendants, however, did not appear in court: he is a young Norwegian man whom the student had previously accused of an alleged rape in the Scandinavian country, a charge which was however dropped.

Considering this hearing to be important, the defense asked and obtained – despite the opposition of the young woman's lawyers – to have the young Norwegian summoned directly by the court , so as to be able to proceed with the examination during the next hearing, scheduled for December.
